Top 10 Reasons to Work with Danika
Top 10 Reasons to Work with Danika
A high school graduation present was the source of her passion. A whirlwind trip to Europe in 31 days and Anne was hooked on meeting new people with different customs and ideals.
She started strong in London as an intern at Howard Marlboro Group, a division of renowned Saatchi and Saatchi. Anne created medal-worthy promotional programs for European campaigns, the XVII (1994) Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer, Norway and the 1990 Whitbread (Round the World) sailing Race.
Early experience at a non-profit organization, St. Luke's Community Services in Stamford, CT, helped fuel Anne's devotion to philanthropy. During the summer of 2009, Anne was awarded The Good Neighbor Award from the American Red Cross in Greenwich, CT.
When Anne's not working-which isn't often-she likes to travel, cook, exercise, ski, needlepoint and read. She can travel and read at the same time!
The strangest thing that ever happened to Anne during a trip is forgetting that she was sleeping in a tent in the Serengeti, waking up and thinking she was in her room at home. Riding an elephant was NOT like riding a horse, she remembers. The trip proved she could do anything. While traveling in Ireland, she asked an older gentleman in Co. Tipperary for directions. What a small world - the man knew her grandfather in the 1960s. Finally, while skiing and accompanying a journalist UP a chair lift, her guest asked how to get back on the chairlift to go DOWN the mountain! On another trip, Anne was to the rescue when a journalist fell into a bog. (Yes, and got out!)
Her promotional skills merit applause, especially when bartering produces great media exposure. She has partnered her clients with companies like DreamWorks Studios, Columbia TriStar Pictures, Macy's, Bloomingdales, and with hit Broadway shows such as Kiss Me, Kate, Aida and The Allergist's Wife.
Anne shined as management supervisor on memorable campaigns for 1) Volunteers of America: Greater New York's historical Sidewalk Santa campaign for five years, 2) The Stillman School of Business' launch of its high-tech Trading Room at Seton Hall University (2005) and 3) the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council's 3-A-Day Dairy initiative in 2004.
With an M. A. in public communications from Fordham University and a B. A. with a major in communications and a minor in journalism from Stonehill College, Anne makes the grade for her clients.
Anne stays connected as an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) (Travel and Tourism and Food and Beverage Sections) and the International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA).
Holly, jolly Anne: She was a super Santa Claus for the WB11 Morning Show in New York in the early 1990s. Donning the big beard went far to promote Volunteers of America's Sidewalk Santa campaign.
